New Construction In The Greater Tampa-St.Petersburg Area

This month, Penske, a moving truck service provider, announced that the Tampa Bay/Sarasota market was the second most popular destination for its moving truck rentals  in the U.S. Well no wonder!  There is so much new construction going on in the Tampa-St. Pete area that it's almost too much to blog about.  I will do my best to highlight some of the best and largest communities coming up.  And like always- don't forget I rebate a minimum of 1% of the base price of your home back to you at closing!
  • Spanish Palms has completed construction on its 10-unit Mediterranean Revival style project just north of BayWalk on First Street North. There are three stories of residential on top of a parking deck with unit sizes from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet, prices range from $322,900 to $338,900 while under construction.
  • ZOM Development's, the Madison, a 277-unit, luxury apartment and townhouse project built in 2002, was converted into condominiums ranging in price from $109,000 to $400,000. The three- to five-story buildings feature studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom flats and townhouses arranged around courtyards.
  • Carlton Towers apartments at 470 Third Street South were converted into condominiums and renamed The Beacon on Third. Prices at conversion ranged from $69,000 to 200,000 and unit sizes are from 489 square feet to 1,100 square feet.
  • McNulty Lofts is an 85-unit project that was built above the existing McNulty garage. The units range from a one-bedroom with 943 square feet to a two-level penthouses with 2381 square feet. Prices for the project originally started at $185,000 to the mid $500,000s.
  • 1010 Central Avenue, a $20-million, 114-unit residential project, has completed construction in the Dome District by Miles Properties. Units consists of one and two-bedroom flats, one and two-bedroom city homes (which are two-story), and live/work residences, 1010 Central starts with prices from $150,000 to $400,000. The five-story project contains 2,500 square feet of retail. This project earned "Best Residential Deal " from the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
  • Developer Joel Cantor completed construction on Signature Place in 2009, a 34-story mixed-use project consisting of 260 residential units, 15,000 square feet of retail, 40,000 square feet of office space, and a 560-space parking structure. The project is estimated to cost in excess of $125 million. Ralph Johnson of Perkins+Will is the architect for this project. Residential units are priced from $350,000 to $4 million for a penthouse.
  • Water Club, located at 1325 Snell Isle Blvd NE is the first significant condominium development on the 
    island in more than 40 years. Its two 9-story towers will include 95 luxury condominiums and 11 
    two-story townhomes with private two car garages and an on-site marina near the St. Pete Yacht 
    Club North Annex. Opening June 2014.
